Summerfest Arts Faire
Cache County Fair Grounds : Cache Valley Visitor Bureau Stage, 490 S. 500 W., Logan
About Summerfest Arts Faire Set on the shady lawn of the historic Logan Tabernacle on Father's Day weekend, Summerfest offers fine art, great food and entertainment to it's visitors as well as quality entertainment with headliner concerts each evening. Local and regional visitors will have the opportunity to purchase fine art and gifts at great prices, and a delightful variety of food, snacks and drinks. All vendors are carefully selected for quality and variety and visitors will not be disappointed. Also featured is a Plein Air Paint Out and Photography contest for artists who will create original art around Cache Valley June 15-17. Be on the lookout for Plein Air participants and photographers throughout the valley and canyons as they paint behind their easels or snap pictures from behind their cameras and then submit their canvases and photographs for judging. All the works will be on display and up for silent auction. Many nationally recognized artists live in Cache Valley and many of them will be participating in Summerfest as a vendor or in the Plein Air competition.
Past Executive Director Debbie Ditton says, "Summerfest is Cache Valley's highly anticipated 'summer kick-off event'. It is a wonderful opportunity for ordinary people to obtain beautiful, high-class art for reasonable prices. For 2016, patrons can expect exceptional art, an amazing entertainment line-up, the best food around and a few surprises."
Summerfest Arts Faire is a juried art festival that features 150 artists from across the country. Mediums include painting, fiber, sculpture, pottery, photography, jewelry and more. Admission is free. Generous support is provided by the Cache County RAPZ Tax, Logan City Cultural Arts Grant, George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Foundation, Utah Department of Arts and Museums and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Families will be able to enjoy the Creation Station, free of charge, where there will be creative projects for the entire family.
